Glossary.

  • PLUM: the sweet, fleshy, red or purple fruit of any of several trees of the rose family.
  • FORT: a location occupied by troops and surrounded by defensive works.
  • DISEASE: illness, sickness.
  • SPARSELY: thinly scattered or distributed; not thick or dense.
  • ALLEGEDLY: reportedly; supposedly.
  • DEFORMITY: an improperly formed part of the body.
  • SABOTEUR: a person who commits or practices sabotage.
  • FLAW: a feature that causes an imperfection in something; defect; blemish.
  • CONSPIRACY: a combination of persons for a secret, unlawful, or evil purpose.
  • MUTATION: sudden departure or change from the parent type, seen in offspring in one or more characteristics that have been inherited, caused by a change in a gene or a chromosome.
  • MASSIVE: lrage in amount or degree.
  • SUCEED: to end according to one's desire.
  • WHEREBY: by what or which; under the terms of which.
  • SUSPICION: imagination that something is true, or is likely to be true; a notion.
  • HEARSAY: information received from another that is not yet proved; rumor.
